What is First Fruits?

We believe the church is a direct link to impacting our local community; to inspire, bring hope and create positive life-giving change in every avenue of our city and cities across the world. The First Fruits offering is your opportunity to give extravagantly. This annual offering gives you a chance to sow into the church in a way that will accelerate the vision of the house to see God’s will done right here in our city first, then onto other cities all over the world.

When can I give the First Fruits offering?

You can give your First Fruits offering starting on January 1st, continuing throughout the month.

Why Give?

- The First Fruit offering is a principle all through the bible. Proverbs 3:9, "Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine."
- We believe the church is a direct link to impacting our local community.
- To advance the vision by equipping the church to accomplish the mission.

Abel gave the very first of his harvest, it pleases the Lord when you choose to give back the best of what He has given to you. It's an act of gratitude and expression of faith that says, "Lord, since you have provided the first, I trust you will take care of me and provide the rest" (Genesis 4:4).

How can I prep for First Fruits?

Pray: The aim of First Fruits is to put God first in every aspect of our lives, including our finances. We encourage everyone to go before God and ask Him how you should plan to give.

Plan: We recognize the First Fruit offering is a great sacrifice and a leap of faith for most, but this is why it's so important to count the cost and make a plan. Creating a budget for December 2022 to January 2023 is a good way to start. Typically, the First Fruit offering is considered to be the first paycheck of the year. But remember, this is all about giving your best to God. Your best might be the pay of your first hour, first day, first week, or a different amount that God puts on your heart.

Give: Once you know that amount you're giving, take the leap of faith! We have a few giving options you can choose from below.

Why We Give - Why We Give - Why We Give - Why We Give - Why We Give
First Fruits is a principle all throughout the bible.
Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”
The annual First Fruits offering is an act of obedience and an expression of our faith in the Lord’s ability to provide. Further more, this annual offering goes towards advancing the God given vision of this church. As we give out of obedience, faith and gratitude, as a body we become more equipped to impact our local community; to inspire, bring the hope of Christ and create life-giving positive change on every avenue in our city.

Where It All Started

“When I first heard this principle 15 years ago I thought the church folk had lost their mind. A woman one day under the unction of the Holy Spirit got up and said, ‘The Lord is asking the church to bring their first fruit the first week of January.’ We had never done this before. We were completely new to this. She was so scared when she talked, she kept her back to the people. She stated, ’God is asking each member to give the first check of January to God as a first fruit.’ I was playing the piano and I almost stopped playing. I thought she lost it. That day after service, the Holy Spirit asked me, ‘Well what are you going to do?’ And he challenged me so deeply that even as a teen, I did it. I gave God my BEST offering I ever gave. That January, the church was able to pay off all its debt because of the people's obedience. Ever since then, we as a church have been obedient to God. We give our First Fruits offering every year and each year God literally works miracles in our lives.”- Pastor Luis Burgos
